Our Beliefs

Statement of Faith

The foundational theological convictions and biblical truths that guide our ministry, teaching, and life.

1

The Scriptures

We believe the Holy Scriptures, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, are the inerrant Word of God, verbally inspired in all parts. They are fully sufficient and serve as the only infallible and authoritative rule of faith and practice.

Psalm 119:160; Proverbs 30:5a; 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:19–21

2

The True God

We believe in one true God—an intelligent, sovereign, spiritual, and personal being—perfect, infinite, and eternal in His holiness, love, wisdom, and power. He is the Creator, distinct from His creation, yet present everywhere as its sustainer. He is revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—three distinct persons, one in essence, without division.

Genesis 1:1; Exodus 15:11; Psalm 83:18; Psalm 139:7–9; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; John 15:26

3

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, the second person of the Trinity. Without ceasing to be God, He became man through the virgin birth, remaining fully God and fully man in one person. He lived a sinless life, was tempted in all points as we are, and gave Himself as the perfect sacrifice for sin through His death on the cross. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now serves as our High Priest, Advocate, and Intercessor.

John 1:1, 14; John 3:16; Matthew 1:18–25; Galatians 4:4–5; Philippians 2:6–10; 1 Corinthians 15:3–7; Hebrews 4:14–16

4

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, who is active in creation, revelation, and redemption. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and regenerates, indwells, baptizes, seals, and anoints all believers. He empowers, guides, teaches, sanctifies, and fills those who yield daily to Him.

John 3:5; John 14:16–17, 26; John 16:7–14; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:13; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Ephesians 1:13; 5:18

5

The Condition of Man

We believe that humanity was created in the image of God but fell into sin through disobedience. As a result, all people are sinful by nature and choice, separated from God, under His righteous judgment, and unable to save themselves.

Genesis 1:27; Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:23; 5:12, 19; Galatians 3:11

6

Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is a free gift of God, not earned by works. All who believe receive eternal life, righteousness, adoption into God’s family, and assurance of salvation. This salvation transforms the whole person, and apart from Christ there is no salvation.

Ephesians 2:8–9; Titus 3:5; John 1:12; John 3:16; John 10:28–29; Romans 8:1; Philippians 1:6

7

Christian Living

We believe that righteous living and good works are the evidence of salvation, not the means of it. Believers are called to live in obedience to Christ, pursue holiness, and proclaim the gospel. A fruitful Christian life flows from complete surrender to Christ.

Ephesians 2:10; Romans 12:1–2; Philippians 2:16

8

Satan

We believe in the existence of Satan, originally created good but fallen through pride. He is the adversary of God and His people, the deceiver of the world, and the leader of evil forces. Though his power is limited by God, he was defeated at the cross, and his final judgment is certain. Believers overcome him through Christ.

Isaiah 14:12–15; Ephesians 6:12; 1 Peter 5:8; John 3:8; Revelation 12:9–11; 20:10

9

The Second Coming

We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ. He will come to gather His Church, judge the world in righteousness, and establish His kingdom.

1 Thessalonians 4:13–18; James 5:8; Hebrews 10:37; Jude 14–15; Revelation 19:11–16; 20:4–7

10

Eternity

We believe in the resurrection of all people and eternal judgment. Believers go immediately to be with Christ and will be rewarded. The unsaved are separated from God and will face eternal judgment.

1 Corinthians 15; 2 Corinthians 5:8–10; Luke 16:19–23; Revelation 20:11–15

11

Church and State

We believe in the separation of Church and State, with each having distinct roles and responsibilities under God.

Matthew 22:21; Romans 13:1–7

12

The Priesthood of Believers

We believe every believer has direct access to God through Jesus Christ, our High Priest. Each believer has the responsibility to study and apply Scripture under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

John 14:6; Hebrews 4:16; 2 Timothy 2:15; 1 Peter 2:5, 9

13

The Home

We believe the family is established by God as the union of one man and one woman. It is the foundational unit of society, with distinct roles and responsibilities. Parents are called to raise children in the instruction and example of the Lord.

Genesis 2:18–25; Deuteronomy 6:4–9; Psalm 127:1–5; Proverbs 22:6; Ephesians 5:21–33; 6:1–4

14

The Local Church

We believe in the importance of the local church, where believers gather for worship, teaching, fellowship, prayer, and the fulfillment of the Great Commission.

Acts 2:42–44; 1 Corinthians 11:2; Matthew 28:19–20

15

Independence and Autonomy

We believe each local church is self-governing under Christ, free from external control, yet called to cooperate with other churches as led by the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 18:17; Acts 6:1–5; Acts 13:1–3; Acts 15:22–23

16

Ordinances

We believe the two ordinances of the church are baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism is by immersion, symbolising Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. The Lord’s Supper is a memorial of His sacrifice.

Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 2:41; Acts 8:38–39; Matthew 26:26–30; 1 Corinthians 11:23–34
