I was born and raised in Goa, India, in a Roman Catholic background. My early life was marked by trauma, instability, and personal struggle. By my teenage years, I found myself battling addiction, homelessness, and a deep sense of hopelessness.
At the age of 19, during a Christian meeting, I had a powerful encounter with God that became the turning point of my life. I did not believe in God at that time. I chose to sit at the back and made fun of everything happening. Suddenly, a man sitting in front of me turned around, looked at me, and said with conviction, "Brother, God is going to change your life."
I responded, "I am the master of my life. No one can change me." But then I thought to myself, if God really exists, let me give Him a chance. And I said, "God, if You exist, I challenge You. Change me and show me."
In that moment, my life changed. Suddenly, I began to cry. There was no one preaching. Yet before my eyes, I could see all the wrong I had done. All I could say was, "Lord, I am sorry. Jesus, I am sorry." That was the beginning - an encounter that led me into repentance, surrender, and a personal revelation of Jesus Christ.
Following this experience, I devoted myself completely to seeking God through prayer and the study of Scripture. During this time, God began to shape my calling, heal my wounds, and use me despite my weaknesses, including a severe stutter that once limited my confidence.
Through small house meetings, I stepped out in obedience. Many encountered the Lord in a personal way. As I continued to yield to the Holy Spirit, He trained me in prayer, healing, deliverance, and complete dependence on Him.
As I stepped out as an evangelist, I was often invited to hospitals to pray for the sick. I witnessed the Lord heal and restore many. One moment that stands out was a young man with a fractured neck. As I obeyed the prompting of the Holy Spirit and prayed in Jesus' name, he was instantly healed.
In 2004, God opened doors to reach other parts of India. We began training pastors to rightly divide the Word and held outreach meetings in villages and remote areas. God moved powerfully.
In 2010, Awake Ministries was formally established in Goa with a clear mandate: to awaken the Church from spiritual slumber and lead people into a deeper walk with God.
In 2017, the Lord led us to begin outreach in the United Kingdom, particularly in Hounslow and Wembley. In 2025, the Lord stirred us again to continue the work in the UK. We resumed monthly meetings and began trusting God for new church plants and greater fruit.
The journey over the last 30 years has not always been smooth, but the Lord lifted me and restored my heart. He taught me a vital lesson: gifts may attract people, but it is fruit that sustains them.
Walking with God is truly an adventure. As we continue to seek the Lord and yield completely to Him, we believe we will see Him move, establish His work, and provide every need.
